This hospitality program provides an 18-bed shelter for homeless men and families. A hot meal is served each day to those who are hungry. It is made available by forty different church, civic and social organizations. Clothing is provided free of cost, from a thrift shop, to those in need. Christ House assists individuals to recognize their ability to help themselves and to maintain their self respect. Each year volunteers help in the shelter programs. Some serve meals or help in the thrift shop, the food locker or in shelter operations. The professional staff is on duty 24 hours a day. Christ House hosts a special Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner, with gifts available to all at Christmas. Contact telephone number is 703 549 8644.
